Fatal Queensbury motorcycle crash under investigation

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Queensbury. The crash happened on September 22 around 5:32 a.m. on Interstate 87.

The motorcyclist, identified as Rodrigo Borges Da Silva, 41, of Fort Ann, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to troopers, an initial investigation determined the motorcycle was heading south when the driver failed to navigate a curve.

NYSP: Two arrested for Grand Larceny during a traffic stop

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Two men were arrested following a traffic stop in Amsterdam. Zachery Higby, 23, of Richfield Springs, and Ryan Dobson, 36, of Gloversville face multiple charges after troopers found a large number of new products in the car.

On Sept. 20, troopers stopped a vehicle around State Route 30 in Amsterdam for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Troopers identified Higby as the driver and Dobson as the passenger.

Saratoga County man sentenced for firearms offenses

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Gansevoort man was sentenced to prison Tuesday for multiple firearms offenses. Jacob Boldt, 35, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to his charges.

In his guilty plea, Boldt admitted to selling firearms without a license, identified other felons as good customers for “ghost guns” and possessed a firearm that he knew was stolen, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Stillwater man arrested in child sex abuse image investigation

SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Stillwater man was arrested on Sept. 16 following an investigation into child sex abuse images. Deane Pratt, 40, is facing multiple charges stemming from a cyber tip from January 2024.

On January 30, Saratoga State Police and the Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce began an investigation into Pratt following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Kris Roglieri indicted on five counts of wire fraud

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– As described on his website, the serial entrepreneur Kris Roglieri has been indicted on five counts of wire fraud, according to the United States Department of Justice. Roglieri was arrested in May, following an FBI investigation into alleged wire fraud dating back to December 2023.

Ballston man arrested on multiple gun charges following road rage incident

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Ballston man was arrested at his home following an investigation into a road rage incident with a gun. Aaron Delano, 25, faces multiple gun charges.

On August 28, police received a report that during a road rage incident, a handgun was displayed. The investigation determined Delano was involved in the incident with the victim in the area of I-787 in Colonie, during which he allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim.

Man arrested in Columbia County for attempted murder

GREENPORT, N.Y. (NEWS10)– An Erie County man was arrested in Columbia County on Tuesday. According to New York State Police, Andrew Case, 41, was traveling through Columbia County with three shotguns in his car.

Troopers say Case was allegedly traveling to Westchester County with the shotguns, intending to shoot his estranged wife’s romantic partner. He was stopped and arrested on Route 9 in Greenport and charged with multiple felonies and a misdemeanor.

Gardiner man pleads guilty to fatal hit-and-run

KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Gardiner man pleaded guilty in Ulster County Court Wednesday in connection to a fatal hit-and-run of a New Paltz student in January. Ty Kobelt, 33, pleaded guilty to two felonies, according to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office.

NYSP: Glenmont man arrested for rape

PRINCETOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Glenmont man was arrested on Sept. 11 in connection to a report of a previous sexual assault. Jack Jimenez, 19, surrendered himself to Princetown State Police and faces a felony charge.

On August 4, Troopers received a report of a past sexual assault. Following an investigation, it was found that Jimenez allegedly sexually assaulted the victim who was incapable of providing consent.

Troy man arrested in relation to drug overdose death

WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The Watervliet Police Department arrested a Troy man in connection to a drug related death from August. David Mathes, 27, faces multiple felony drug charges.

BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Colonie man was arrested on Sept. 11, after an investigation into inappropriate communications with a child. Christopher Johnson, 68, faces multiple charges.

HYDE PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Thursday morning drug raid on Violet Avenue has resulted in the arrest of two men. Louis Nameth, 54, and Joseph Adams, 42, were arrested following an investigation into drug sales along the Violet Avenue corridor between Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park.

Corinth man sentenced on drug possession charges

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Corinth man was sentenced on Wednesday for two charges. Nicholas Harwood, 36, is to serve a seven-year term with a consecutive three-year term relating to two separate arrests.

KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Joseph O’Bryan, 31, of Shawangunk, faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
